| UPSILON LINE HAS ARRIVED!!!!! The time has come yet again to present to you the newest additions to our brotherhood. Come out to check out the newest members to the tightest brotherhood on campus. Come out and give them a warm welcome as they have worked hard and have a lot in store for you. This will be a show you do not want to miss out on and it will most definitely be one to remember!!! This is shaping up to be one of the greatest shows in AA's History!!! Doors Open at 3:00 Shout Outs at 3:30 Show Starts at 4:00 Location: Brooklyn Pizza (formerly known as Southside BBQ in Ferrell Commons) We WILL start on time for this show, so don't be late!!!! ALSO, there will definitely be an after party, because you know it wouldn't be a Lambda Probate without one!!! More details will be coming soon, so be on the lookout and get excited!!!!  Lambda Theta Phi is a proud member of the IFC; however we do not rush. We go through a different process more selective in order to maintain the tightest brotherhood on campus. Now with that said....Come and see what Lambda Theta Phi is all about ! FREE FOOD, MUSIC, DOMINOES, etc!!! Founded in 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is the first and largest nationally recognized Greek-letter organization founded as a Latin Fraternity. The membership of Lambda Theta Phi is open to all college men who support its values of scholarship, respect for all culture, community service, and the advancement and fair treatment of Latinos. Lambda Theta Phi was the first Latin Fraternity to be recognized by the North-American Inter-Fraternity Conference (NIC), is a member of NALFO, and has over 100 Chapters and Colonies in: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.  The Alpha Alpha Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. proudly present to you our 2009 Founder's Week: The Revolution of Lambda. This years Founder's Week will be held November 13th through the 23rd. We will be hosting 13 events to commemorate our 13 years of reign on UCF campus. Alpha Alpha will be presenting you with a myriad of Educational, Social, and Cultural events listed below. Thank you for your continuous support and we look forward to seeing you at our events. Friday, November 13 "Lambda Revolution" - Kick-Off Party Come out as we welcome you to the start of it all...the Kick-Off Party. You already know how it goes down with the Lambdas...enough said. Medici's Cigar & Bar Lounge 15 Alafaya Woods Blvd. Before 11 3-4-1 Drinks, $2 Heineken After 11 2-4-1 Drinks, $3 Heineken Music by DJ Viru HipHop, Latin, Top40 and MORE. 18+ to party || 21+ to drink Saturday, November 14: "Florida Sector I Social" Closed Brotherhood Social with Lambda Chapters from UF, FSU, USF, and UCF. Sunday, November 15: "Volley Forge" - First Annual Volleyball Tournament Co-sponsored event with Mu Sigma Upsilon Multicultural Sorority, Inc. A friendly game of volleyball between Fraternities and Sororities where a fraternity will be paired with a sorority. Alumni and Undergraduate members will be able to participate in this event. This event will have a concession stand as well, proceeds will go to our philanthropy, United Cerebral Palsy of Orlando. Leisure Pool Sand Court 1&2, 12:00PM - 3:00PM Monday, November 16: "Educational with YaYa" This interactive forum is with the Youth and Young Adult Network of the National Farm Worker Ministry about immigration reform and the abuses agricultural workers face as a result of being undocumented. We will be providing a safe environment for students to express their opinions about this topic, and become further educated about it. HPA 116, 6:30PM - 8:00PM Tuesday, November 17 "13th Continental Congress" - Chapter Brotherhood Dinner Closed event for all Alumni and Undergraduate Brothers of the Alpha Alpha Chapter as we commemorate 13 successful years of being on UCF campus. Tavern on the Lake Restaurant and Ultra Lounge Wednesday, November 18: First Annual IFC Yard Show and Date Auction IFC Yardshow: An opportunity for all Greeks to display their best talents amongst one another while entertaining the UCF community. Yard Shows are traditionally for the minority Greeks; however, we are having the FIRST Yard Show that will incorporate the Interfraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council. This event will be held in the front of the union. Front of the Student Union, 12:00PM - 1:30PM Date Auction: Traditionally one of our chapters BIGGEST and most EXCITING Philanthropic Fundraisers of the year. Brothers of Lambda Theta Phi along with members of other Greek and Non-Greek organizations will auction themselves to go on a date with member of the UCF community. Proceeds of the event will go to United Cerebral Palsy. **Link Loot points will also be available. We uphold our reputations as chivalrous gentlemen by treating two lovely ladies from each sorority on campus to dinner courtesy of your favorite Men in Brown. *This event is held on an Invite-Only Basis. Friday, November 20: "Lambda Tea Party" - Social with Delta Phi Lambda Asian Interest Sorority, Inc. Saturday, November 21: "Family Day Tailgate" Co-sponsored event with Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. Come gear up for our game against Tulane as this tailgate will be one to remember. Everyone is welcome to attend. Memory Mall, 10:00AM - 1:30PM Sunday, November 22: "Battle of Colonial Hill" - Lambda Theta Phi Adopt-a-Road Cleanup Community Service Brothers will be out cleaning up their road out on Colonial Drive from Alafaya to Rouse. We do so various times during a semester, picking up trash and other litter that may be found on the road. "Battle of the Brown Coats" - Annual Flag-Football Game with Alumni Brothers Every year, this traditional football game is held between the Undergraduate brothers & Alumni brothers. This match-up is one you don't want to miss as it gets intense out on the gridiron. Following the event will be a barbecue with guests. Monday, November 23: Lambda Informational Interested in joining the FIRST Latin fraternity in the Nation? Come out to meet the brothers and learn more about what it takes to be a Lambda. This meeting is meant to show you what the fraternity is about, what it can do for you, and most importantly the impact that you can have not only on the fraternity, but on the community at large. Every male UCF student is welcome to attend this informational. |
