FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 20, 2009 LAMBDA THETA PHI DEDICATES CLOTHING DRIVE TO A LOCAL CHARITY Orlando, FL July 20, 2009- Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Incorporated, the first Latin Fraternity in the Nation as well as at the University of Central Florida will be holding their First Annual Summer Clothing Drive to lend support to some of the Central Florida citizens in need. This summer, the clothing drive supports the Mustard Seed Furniture and Clothing Bank of Central Florida. Members of the Alpha Alpha Chapter (UCF) of Lambda Theta Phi will be collecting clean and usable business attire and casual clothing to those in need: abused, homeless, rehabilitated and economically disadvantaged men, women and children of the Central Florida Community. This drive is expected to collect over thousands of articles of clothing from UCF students, families, and community. This Summers First Annual Clothing Drive will be held from July 20- August 23. Additional information about the Mustard Seed Furniture and Clothing Bank of Central Florida can be found at www.mustardseedfla. org. Founded in 1975 at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is the first and largest nationally recognized Greek-letter organization founded as a Latin Fraternity. The membership of Lambda Theta Phi is open to all college men who support its values of scholarship, respect for all culture, community service, and the advancement and fair treatment of Latinos. Lambda Theta Phi was the first Latin Fraternity to be recognized by the North-American Inter-Fraternity Conference (NIC), is a member of NALFO, and has over 90 Chapters and Colonies in: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Summer Clothing Drive

ATTENTION PEOPLE!!! Start doing some Summer cleaning and empty out all those closets and attics full of unused GOOD clothes and pass them along to a Brother of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. The Alpha Alpha Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. will be collecting used, clean, and usable clothing for the Mustard Seed Furniture & Clothing Bank of Central Florida. Lambda Theta Phi prides itself in our Philanthropy work and being able to give back to those in need. This clothing drive will last a MONTH! YES, so you have plenty of time to dig up through your closets, attics, and dressers to come up with some articles of clothing that will benefit those Men, Women, and Children who have NOTHING. Please locate a Proud Lambda between the dates of July 20- Aug 23 if you have some clothing that you are willing to donate. The Mustard Seed was established in 1984 at a time when "homelessness" was just beginning to emerge as a common concern. It grew from the personal commitment of a compassionate woman who saw all homeless people, regardless of race, creed, or social status, simply as "God's children" in need of assistance. This non-profit, charitable organization is the results of that woman's faith.
