“We wanted to be part of an organization of strong Latino
men who would support and guide each other. The ideals of the Fraternity
were not only appealing, but something we were yearning for.” Founding
Brother Luis Trani.
The Founding Brothers Represented the majority of the Latino
population at Upsala College, a private institution. The Chapter struggle
to stay alive in the years that follow with the decline in enrollment at the
institution which eventually closed its doors in 1995.
In the fall semester of 1992, an interest group consisting
of 10 students was formed. A total of 6 took part in the induction process,
out of which 3 men satisfied all of the requirements. Saul Cintron, Yael
Martinez and Teodoro Rivera represented the last line to cross at Delta.
