Arizona | New Mexico Sector is a regional governing body of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc., established to oversee all undergraduate entities in Arizona and New Mexico.  AZNM member chapters include Alpha Sigma Chapter (Arizona State University), Alpha Upsilon Chapter (University of New Mexico), and Gamma Beta Chapter (The University of Arizona).  Both Arizona and New Mexico alumni are served by alumni chapters that are separate from the sector structure: Lambda Delta (New Mexico) and the Arizona Alumni Colony.

2005 – 2007

AZNM Sector began at Arizona Sector 1 in the summer of 2005 to serve Alpha Sigma Chapter and the recently established colony at The University of Arizona. The first sector executive board (2005-2007) included:

2007-2009

As the fraternity continued to grow, the national board refined the sector governance structure and added at-large chapters to nearby sectors.  It was decided that Alpha Upsilon Chapter at University of New Mexico would best fit as a member of Arizona Sector 1, and so in the summer of 2007 the sector unofficially became Arizona | New Mexico Sector.  The sector also elected a new executive board:

With a new chapter and state added to the sector, there were many challenges, but all three chapters came together to enhance the brotherhood experience for all brothers in the sector.  AZNM established three yearly events: The AZNM Leadership Summit (summer), The AZNM Sector Banquet (Fall), and The AZNM Brotherhood Retreat (Winter).

2007-2008

As the chapters began to become accustomed to the new structure, they began to perform at high levels.  In 2008 Alpha Upsilon Chapter won National Chapter of the Year, and Brother James Randall won the Undergraduate Excellence Award for both the fraternity and the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO).  In 2009, AZNM Sector was awarded Sector of the Year, Brother Adam Grijalva was awarded the Undergraduate Philanthropist of the Year, and Brother James Randall was given the Campus Leadership Award.
